Randi Rahm, couture guru whose beautiful gowns have graced the red carpets for years, does not consider herself a fashion designer. She is an artist in every regard — a creator, a visionary. When Rahm creates a dress, she considers it a work of fine art like that of a painting or sculpture. A classically trained concert pianist and conductor, she says music, dance and art have always been integral parts of her life and her first love.
Creativity began coursing through her veins even as a child when Rahm would sew outfits for her Barbie dolls — but it didn’t stop there. When the New York native made a quilt for her newborn son, she had no idea it would alter the path of her career forever. The quilt was Rahm’s debut into the fashion world, as she soon began producing more quilts and children’s dresses for a high end New York boutique. Randi is also a product of her environment. At a young age, Rahm was exposed to couture clothing by her grandmother, who had an impeccable sense of style, and in turn, dressed her grandchildren in the finest apparel.
Rahm is continually inspired by people, and her intention is to make them feel good about themselves with her exquisite dresses. “We need to empower ourselves. We don't need someone telling us how to look and feel. If you look in the mirror and you see yourself in something that makes you say ‘Wow I look great, I love this,’ that's what you wear,” believes Rahm. The artist has never concerned herself with the latest trends and simply creates timeless pieces with magnificent care.
For over 25 years, Rahm has been dressing Hollywood icons like Beyonce and Carrie Underwood, Broadway leading ladies and most recently the women from ABC’s The Bachelorette. In a fast-changing world of trends, Rahm defies all fashion odds with her unique and show-stopping designs that Hollywood A-listers, elegant brides and power women around the world all agree truly never go out of style.
